What ram?

Hi,
I have an P4 3.0 with an AsusP5GD1 motherboard which currently has 2 x 512 pc3200 400 on it. I want to add an additional 1g of ram - can I just add another 2 x 512 (there are 2 spare slots) or would I be better off going for 2 x 1g sticks - bearing in mind I'm on a budget and don't want to spend to much - any advice would be appreciated

It depends, some motherboard chipsets will lower the memory speed when using all RAM slots, some don't.

Probably the best option is 2 512mb sticks.

I would just buy two more 512 sticks.

if you dont want 2 spend 2 much, like you said, they yeah, go with the 2x512.
