What router to buy?

Hello, i have AT&T yahoo dsl. I currently have a speedstream modem. I just got a new laptop and want to put it online and keep my desktop online too. I was looking at linksys routers(WRT54G), are they any good? AT&T has 2Wire brand, are they better?

Just looking for a good router at a good price ($75 or less). All suggestions ar appreciated.

the AT&T 2wire modem comes with the wireless built in. Speedstream modem was being use like 7 or 8 years ago. How are you getting online..through the 2wire modem or the speedstream? If just the 2wire modem..there is no need to buy an additional wireless router, this one will do just fine

I currently only have a desktop connected to the speedstream. I just got a laptop and want to get wirless now. I do not have a 2wire. I was just trying to get a recomendation on a reliable modem that i can hook my desktop and laptop too at the same time.
