Most of all I would like to play some more games... like Company of Heroes and maybe COD4... 8600GT maybe...?

Well yes but can someone point me to the right direction...

No idea what kind of RAM my mobo takes... Nor what CPUs it supports... Nor what Video Cards it supports.

What do you use your computer for ?

I don't know AMD too well, but I think u can get an X2 CPU to fit in that mobo, if that is the case, I'd do that for now...

Maybe add ram or maybe wait to change mobo so u can add DDR2 ram. The same goes for the GPU, but then again if you don't game, don't bother.

In the end it also depends on how much money u can get in the next few months, because if u can get 300-400, that would be worth waiting for to make a real upgrade.

Edit: Your mobo supports AGP card, DDR RAM as I said, not sure for X2 CPU.
Have a look here http://www.msicomputer.com/product/detail_spec/product_detail.asp?model=KT6V-LSR

So i'll buy 2 gigs of ram... not sure about the CPU or the GPU

Thanks for the link Kilauea

I will be using it for gaming! ~COMPANY OF HEROES~ maybe some COD4...

Could I put a 8600GT in it?

G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory ($85) -.- very expensive for junk

wait... 2gb of ram, you can't use DDR2 ram, so I would stay with what you have now for ram unless u upgrade your mobo...

You couldn't put a 8600Gt in there because its a PCI-e card... let me see what you could put ok.

Would my mobo support the AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+ Brisbane 2.1GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM2 65W Dual-Core Processor

if your board would take it i would get a x2 for now...then when you upgrade your board you already have a dualcore..unless you wanted to go intel ...if so i would just wait and start fresh...with a new build:D

someone on craigslist selling a NEW GIGABYTE GA-965G-DS3 motherboard in box - $70... I could probably talk them down to $50 if its worth it

I would say, go for either...

X2 4000+ or something similar if your mobo supports it

Otherwise, go for a new GPU since I did not notice any GPU in what you said, maybe go for a HD2600PRO
