I would try and get a board that will work with everything you have now, then when you can afford it, upgrade the parts.
That way you can get a better cpu, better ram, better gpu, etc.

that would work...but get somthing with pci express and onboard so you dont have to stick with agp x8 video....you can use the onboard till you get video card cash.... ill look for some combo deals or somthing for ya here is a nice little barebone all you need to buy after is a videocard http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3646053&CatId=1916

My birthday is coming up and I really need to upgrade my computer. I'll probably get around $100 maybe $150 if I beg.

Most of all I would like to play some more games... like Company of Heroes and maybe COD4... 8600GT maybe...?

Its a old Socket A computer, I would not spend any money on it. Save up some more and get you a lower end Socket 775 or AM2+ board and CPU and memory. Use your current harddrives and get a board with onboard video and later upgrade to stand alone video card and P/S when you get the money.
