...I'm currently left wondering whether or not I should buy The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for my PC, or my Playstation 3.
I went to systemrequirementslab.com and ran a test for it on my computer, seeing if I had the proper specs. These are the results:
Recommended:
CPU
Recommended: Quad-core Intel or AMD CPU
You Have: AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 265 Processor
CPU Speed
Recommended: Info
You Have: 3.3 GHz
PASS
RAM
Recommended: 4 GB
You Have: 4.0 GB
PASS
OS
Recommended: Windows 7/Vista/XP PC (32 or 64 bit)
You Have: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Edition (build 7600), 64-bit
PASS
Video Card
Recommended: DirectX 9 compatible NVIDIA or AMD ATI video card with 1 GB of RAM (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 or higher; ATI Radeon HD 4890 or higher)
You Have: GeForce GTS 250
Features: Recommended attributes of your Video Card
Required You Have
Video RAM 1 GB 2.7 GB
Pixel Shader version 3.0 4.0
Vertex Shader version 3.0 4.0
...I failed the video card test, but I have all the recommended attributes...hmm...
...My processor isn't a quad core, but it is a dual core 3.3 Ghz. This computer can actually run Dragon Age: Origins almost on entirely maxed settings smoothly at 1600x resolution, and I don't even meet the processor requirement for that game, which requires a Quad-Core 2.4 Ghz. This is leading me to question whether or not I should buy Skyrim for PC. I expect that if I can run the game, I can run it AT LEAST about medium pretty decently. Any opinions?
