The last time I upgraded my system I pretty much just looked for a fairly good motherboard that was compatible with an equally good processor, and that was pretty much it. Recently I discovered that a friend of mine, that piece by piece has a much slower system that me, still manages to get plenty more fps from games and such. So I was just wondering what are the key elements to look for when pairing up components such as motherboards / processors etc in order to get the best result? Apparently I have failed in this, so there must be a way to it.
