Hello, I'm Sam and I'm new to this forum.
I play games regularily on my pc that I bought when I was 12.
I am 16 now and I want to buy better specs for high end gaming on ultra settings, and I hope that on this forum you could consult me with what I need to buy first (what are the most urgent specs to replace), to improve my graphics and overall gaming experience.

*When I say high end gaming I mean games like the new Hitman (even though it is badly optimized) or GTA V on high graphical settings.

These are my specs:

-Intel core i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz(8 CPUs). ~3.9GHz
-NVDIA GeForce GTX 670
-16 GB RAM
-1TB of storage

Please tell me if you need any more details so I could help you, help me :)

Sorry I wanna add that my OS is Windows 10

What motherboard do you have and exact model of power do you have? This will tell us what exact processors it would take and what video card you could get without having to upgrade your power supply. Otherwise your looking at building a totally new system with all new parts.

I don't think he will find a better CPU for socket 1155, which is still pretty stout. :P

But yes, depending on what PSU is in there you may or may not need to upgrade that as well. Since you're already rolling a 670 I don't think it would be too horrible though.

What kind of budget do you have to work with?

Just get a faster graphics card. Maybe something along the 970 or 980 or 980 Ti lines. The 3770 is still great and everything else looks fine.

I have a similar setup to you (670 and 760 are about the same speed, the 670 is sometimes a little faster) and it's fine, so with a faster GPU it will be plenty powerful enough.

Thank you for replying you guys are awesome. I'm not the most knowledgable guy when it comes to computers. How can I check which motherboard I got?

CPU-Z, click on the 'Mainboard' tab.

What power supply do you have? If you remove your side panel you should be able to see what make and model it is.

I think you should buy yourself a nice big graphics card like a 980 and have done with it. The rest of your system sounds pretty good. Do you have an SSD? If not then get one of those too.

You don't even need to know what motherboard, it clearly supports PCIe so just get yourself a better GPU and install it. Something like a 970 or above.

Yeah especially given he already has the best CPU you can put in the board - unless he gets a 3770K to overclock of course but they still second hand for a lot of money and it's not worth the upgrade from the 3770.

Alright I have downloaded CPU-Z and it says my model is Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. H77-DS3H. You can check the actual model in this link: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4146#ov
Also it appears I do not have any SSD's. Would that be an issue?

*If you need any other information please tell me. I'd be more than happy to post it.
An SSD won't increase gaming performance, however it will dramatically decrease the time it take to boot into your OS and launch your game.
