what size motherboard can i fit in?

this is going to sound very noobish but i cannot work out what size motherboard i am going to be able to fit in my case. my case is quite small the mother board only has 2 pci that are very close together and one agp interface. it also only has 2 ram slots. the motherboard looks to be almost perfectly square and i think it is a mini atx??? the thing is though i am looking to up grade and i carnt really afford to be buying a new case aswell and becasue of its layout (all hardrives and diskdrives are at the top) it can actually fit a quite big grahics card in. does anyone know by the decription what type of motherboard this is so i can start looking at new ones?

2 pci slots and an agp or pci-e slot, 2 ram slots, and the square shape usually points right to micro atx. I'm assuming you have a prebuilt computer? Most of those use micro-atx, aside from Dell.
 
yeh your right was a company called evesham gone bust now. anyhow do you think you could point me in the direction of a new intel socket mobo that would fit at around the £50 range i would greatly eppreciate it as i am having problems finding one

yeh im from the uk. i have looked at those novatech barebones and none of them really seem that gd id rather they came without a cpu and they seem highly priced compared to building one.

sorry i dont really understand what you mean by the fron panel connecters you mean the switch and stuff:confused:
 
yeah some dells and stuff dont have normal wires from the reset switch etc... instead they have what looks like an IDE ribbon cable.
 
no they look pretty normal just a load of small wires going to the switch and the leds. do you know of any motherboards that fit the descrtition im looking for?
 
right i have the measurements I'm afraid there not going to ultra accuarate becasue there just isnt enough room to measure accuratly. these are what i got though.

top to bottom=about 9.5 inches
along the bottom=about 8 inches

micro atx is ~ 9.6 by 9.6 MAXIMUM
full atx is ~ 12 x 9.6 MAXIMUM

so i reackon its just a very small micro atx? or something nonstandard
 
right i have just found something interesting theres are 2 mounting points near the front of the case that arnt being used i would guess it makes the biggest size into and 9.6x9.6 the thing is though i should think that if the motherboard goes any further that way the ram is going to catch on the disc drive bay:(
so if i get a mobo that uses these mounts it going to have to be one with only 2 ram slots which isnt a masssive concern for me i am only intending to have 2gb anyway it just further narrows down the amount of avialable mobos
