what socket is my P4

i have a dell gx270 with a 2.8 P4......i have poured over every tech spec/article i can google, but cant find a reference to exactly what socket type my dell board is using....i am googled out at the moment!!!

i kno it should be socket 478 or possibly lga775 ? is there a decently easy way to tell which socket type i have?

download cpu-z (its free) and run it. it will tell you which one you have

You have slot 478 P4. It has the 865 chipset and I believe you need the 915 chipset to run the slot 775.
