What sound card?

hey guys i am getting a pair of AKG Q701's and need a good sound card for it as i'm trying to step into the would of audiophiles. any recommendations? my mobo only take PCI express x1 and x16 so no PCI cards :(

I was thinking the HT omega eclaro or the Asus Xonar Essence STX. Thoughts?
 
HT omega eclaro or Asus Xonar Essence STX is what i was going to say,Out of the two id go with the HT omega,Been thinking of getting one myself.

Id stay away from anything creative,Dodgy drivers.

what would you say the advantage is over the STX?
 
Those are still the best ones? Lol havent really been looking into sound cards of late. But are there any new models worth noting of late? I personally like the asus sound cards. Good reviews. At49 i suggest u google reviews for both models by neva. If its too tedious for you to read through just skip to the conclusions page and decode from there. But on paper the
Eclaro looks better. Though auzentech is worth a look too.
