You know those ultra high speed modules require at least 2.4V to run that fast. Generally you can get slower RAM to run at similar speeds with that much voltage, some newer motherboards wont let you run that much voltage through your RAM. At stock voltage you are probably lucky to get PC6400 out of it.

Exactly, thats why with some previous version of DDR2-800+ RAM, they wouldn't post because their motherboards couldnt supply enough voltage.

It also shows that you could easily just get DDR2-533/667, raise the voltage and raise the timings, and you will have your own DDR2-800/1066 memory.... for a fraction of the cost.

Do you think they will ever come out with TDR RAM instead of DDR? That would be a quantum leap.

Ok, so the author whants to know the saying ram speed, ohh look at me my ram works at 1066MHz and something like that, i know we need to :2, but lets forget the :2 for now.

Mine : Corsair PC6400 800MHz, now overclocked - 940MHz.

Where the fu** is 667MHz?

No it isn't.

It doesn't exist, that's where it is.

Read this.

Actually, I believe that DDR3 is QDR, meaning that it would transfer data 4 times per cycle. 200MHz clock speed, effective rate of 800MHz. (but it doesn't run at 800MHz!!!!)
