Why did the fx-53 price at new egg drop by liek a hundred dollars for like a month now it back up to its orginal price..

Praetor u told me since they discontinued socket 940s the price dropped......

I am so pissed!!! i could of bought it for 575 dolalrs now its 650 dollars$!@#%!

And be stuck with a crappy AMD processor? Please, Intel is the best remember? :rollseyes:
 
1. LOL i dunno what your talking about ... prices have kept dropping.
2. Since when does "the price went down once" mean "the price will stay low" ... have a look at gold prices over the last ten years for instance, or the price of the 9800XTs since the inception of the X800s
3. Common sense reveals a lot of things: like the way prices can go up or down with holiday seasons. Highly ostensible goods tend to drop a bit, moderately ostensible good rise in price (since people are more inclined to buy those) ... sigh.

here's a tip...don't buy that cpu, lol. if you aint willing to pay the price then i guess you dont get what you want...
 
yeah but it wouldnt go up a 100 dollars jsut for the holidays prob like 10 or 25 dollars for a cpu of that caliber and price

The prices I get around at stores havent gone up at all. In fact they've dropped about 2-12 bucks per week.

Edit:
- On a more serious note, i'm sure that you and i both know that advice and reccomendations given here are given with best intentions generally and (at least for myself) quite accurate within a given time-frame. It is up to the end user to exercise some caution and common sense before considering whopping out cash for something
- As for newegg .. i was never a fan of them .. (1) too damn expensive (2) website takes too long to load, (3) inconvenient and (4) i dont like waiting for shipping (5) they dont ship to canada and so, often i use Newegg as a general meter (and how when i spec systems based off newegg, ill go a bit over because you can get cheaper in some cases)

You can either make posts that make sense and are useful (note that useful and utility share the same root ... really i dont think i have to point that out...). You are right about the ignorance though.

Thread terminated. There are other less cryptic ways of increasing your post count.
