Posted this elsewhere, didn't like the answer, bothering me, posting again.

Lenov B550 with win8. I move the cursor to this reply box. Start typing. Get in maybe two words, it beeps, and the cursor moves out of the screen and I can't type and have to move it back. It did it 7 ******** times trying to type this. And no, I didn't bump anything and unless a virus was installed at the factory it's not that either. Im about ready to break out the 44 and pull an elvis on it.

I know you say you didn't like the answer you got but that is a common problem on laptops with a touchpad. It's one of the reasons I disable the touchpad on my laptop and use a mouse instead.

Yep, as I said in your other thread about it, that most of the time its your hand hitting the touchpad and moving the cursor out of the way. I've done it many times.

Go into the mouse settings and see if there is a setting to disable the touchpad when you type.

Heh guys.........this isn't a laptop. It's an all-in-one desktop.

It does 'not' have a touchpad.

It has a wireless mouse and keyboard. The keyboard doesn't have a touchpad.

Sorry about that, just assumed it was a laptop as its a common issue. What type of mouse are you using?

No that's ok I should've specified my bad.

It had these issues with the stock keyboard and mouse. The stock mouse broke on the rear as soon as I put a battery in it (the door clasp broke) and I didn't really like the keyboard. So I bought a wireless Logitech set. It acts exactly like the original did.

I would like to point out that the longer the pc is on the less it does it. Almost as if it's busy doing something else perhaps and can't handle it? I would think a few minutes no problem but it has dragged on for quit sometime several times.

I'd also like to say that my frustrations are directed at this PC and not anyone here or there answers to avoid any misunderstandings. Thanks.

So it has done it since you replaced the keyboard and mouse? It was fine before? I would say its something with the wireless keyboard then. Try a wired keyboard and see if it works correctly.

No, the keyboard and mouse that oringinlly came with it did the same thing.

Well this morning it was really bad. Got to the point the cursor wouldn't move beyond the right side of the screen by more than 4". Then a window for '8.1 download' popped up so I downloaded it. It just got done. So far so good, fingers crossed.

Make sure all windows updates are installed for 8.1. I've seen weird things happen when using the original version of 8.

Shoulda known that was too good to be true. Right back to its old trickss thank god i bot the in-home warranty calling them monday i will post the issues.
