What the is wrong with my computer?

Hey, i'm working with a system i built my self last fall...

I use a lot of audio programs, and I installed some "audio plugins" that were not working on Cubase SX3, so I decided to restore my computer to a restore point I set right before i installed the plugins...

Routine, right? Next thing I know the computer is rebooting and it says "CHKDSK program cannot be found... skipping chkdsk" which is weird, because I never saw that message before, then next thing I know it just reboots. Every time it boots up now it starts loading windows, then shows the blue "chkdsk" error screen, and reboots again... If I try to hit f8 before windows starts it does not work either.

PLZ HELP THIS IS SO ANNOYING WHY CANT ANYTHING JUST FREAKING WORK THE WAY ITS SUPPOSED TO.

Have you tried booting from the Windows CD? That's the only thing I can think of right now.

I'd try a repair install.
Put your XP disc in your optical drive, reboot and select Repair when prompted.
If that doesn't work, a reformat is in your future, I'm sorry to say.

Cleaned up the thread. Please keep your language clean around here...

And sorry, no other suggestions besides what's posted.

Whenever i have a problem with my PC's i just debug the hdd and cmos and reformat and do a clean install deleting the partitions also. I have gotten so good at it its routine. If you want the debug routine and how to delete the partitions PM me or something and i would be glad to send them to you. That should sort you out if none of the above works.
