what timing should i run my ram at?

i have duel channel, 2x 512mb corsair 3200pt and i have 2x 256mb 3200pt...

will they run at the same imings, or do i have to run them lower/higher as my pc seems to be accting funny, freezes randomly and i have to restart alot etc...?

I wouldn't think that would be ram related, someone correct me if I'm wrong though. If it started this as soon as you installed the ram, then maybe, but freezing and stuff can be helped out by defragging, virus scans, cleaning out things you don't use anymore (the registry would be a good idea too), and disabling unwanted programs from running on startup. Oh, and keep windows and your security stuff updated
 
If your running everything at stock (not overclocked), then you should need to raise the timings. If your comp is freezings its most likely software related or that your temps are too high.
 
welli installed the ram earlier today, and it has happened all night, also installed a new 500w psu, could that be causing my problems??
 
if the psu isn't giving what it's rated to give, could be causing everything to run poorly, yes, I'd download a program that will tell you what voltages you're getting and see if they're about right
 
checked my voltages ad they are running like they should, all right and evem my temps arent high, just cant work it out, th eonly thing i can point the problem at is the new ram! :(
 
first, use cpu-z and make sure its running in dual channel. if its not, then it cuts the speed in half.
yes, it will run all the modules at the same speed. (timings and frequency)
