what to buy first

ok so everyone is putting down my amd 3800 single core. so im going to upgrade to a x2 4400, since everyone says the 3800 sucks. they also say my x800 GT sucks, so im going to upgrade to Connect 3D Radeon X1900 XT

what should i buy first, cpu or video card?
 
i'd get the video card first.
dual core is unnecessary.. much better, yet still unnecessary at the time
the x1900xt is a much bigger upgrade.
 
well yea im completely not sure. I mean yes the processor with make everything faster, but i just paid 400 for my 3800, and i want nice graphics, but yet i want a fast system, im confused

yea, the proc wont actually make things faster. you'll be able to do more things at once, but that only really matters if you have over 1gb of ram.
i used to have 1gb and i ran out of memory resources before cpu resources lol
 
i have 4 gigs of ram, like i havent even installed my x800 yet, so ill give that about a month before i get a new card, and i have heard the graphics will be perfectly fine with the x800
 
what do you mean? you already have those parts, but are you upgrading?

or, you haven't bought your parts yet...

i mean do you already own 3800 single core?
if you have money get x2 4400, but x2 3800 is good enough,,,
costs about $300 US. and known for its performance
