well i am looking to get a boost in my frames per second in games like Crysis at the moment, and im just not sure what could give me the best boost for my money! i could buy two more GB of ram, or i could buy a heatsink and overclock my processor another 4-500 mhz or so. (maybe a bit farther, even.)

my question is what would give me the biggest boost. i can play crysis at 1280/1024 at relatively high settings, and get between 20-25FPS average. what do you guys think?

If you have suggestions please link me to Newegg.

Video card will give you the best performance increase in video gaming, hands down. The Nvidia GPUs are so powerful that hackers are using them to decrypt wireless networks with brute force attacks, which increases their efficiency exponentially.

i can only afford like $60 so some ram or a heatsink is my only available options, to my knowledge.

I would save that 60 and apply it towards a new GPU. RAM isn't really going to help that much unless you are seriously multi tasking, and over clocking creates bottle necks, has a margin for error, and lowers the stability of your system.

so your thinking my 8800gt is my biggest problem at the moment? hmm. i could save a bit more and sell the 8800gt for like $75 i think, and buy a 4850... what do you think?

That may be worth a shot. You might want to wait too, I think everyone is announcing new hardware in the next quarter so there will be price drops in processors, video cards, etc. You may want to save and just upgrade a bit.

Intel is suppose to have a big end of year announcement, and that is only about 2 months away.
