What to do with a seriously noisy Dell Studio 1558

I have a Dell Studio 1558 which is seriously noisy due I guess to it overheating. The fan soon kicks in and is annoyingly noisy. I believe these particular Dells are famous for this and the issue cant be resolved. Because the spec of the Dell is reasonable i5 and large HD would it be a relatively easy task to move the processor and HD into my wife's HP laptop? Both computers are under 24 months old but out of warranty. The HP is beautifully silent but key components are not as high spec compared to the Dell which I would like quite honestly to throw in the bin. Any suggestions or solutions out there would be appreciated?
 
Get a can of compressed air and blow into the vents to see if you get any dust to come out. And most likely you won't be able to transfer the cpu to the HP as it may not support it.
