what to do with refund?

am looking to buy a 17" laptop with a centrino or even better a turion processor after getting a refund for the last dodgy laptop i bought,can anybody advise on what to get
i want a bit of battery life as well as a big screen to watch dvds,dont really care about games as i have a ps2 but would like to get something that will be reasonably future proof
so far i have lookked at the amilo 3438g,and the acer 9502wsmi,and the dell inspirion 9300
is there anything else out there? for £1000 or less
 
definately, i thinkit is worth looking at dell they have the inspiron 9000 i think that has the 17" screen and enough specs to keep u safe for a few years. it might be more beneficial if u were to order it from america or Australia, i think that u will get a better value for money deal
