What to do?

Ya I noticed that too when looking at the pictures.

Well I woke up early today and re-applied the thermal paste and flipped my CPU fan. I left it running while I went to a resort with some friends, just got back and here are my temps its been about 8 hours running idle.

I think the problem might be that I just fail at applying thermal paste.. :/

My CPU was a re-used one so had some old paste on it that i just wiped off but didnt use any cleaner. Do I need to purchase some of that stuff to clean it off first?

5c over the case temp is normal for a CPU to idle at. I don't think there's anything wrong with the Cpu cooler anymore but your case temps are still very hot. My case runs low 30's in a room thats mid-high 20's ambient.

Alright, re applied the thermal paste. My last job looked like shit when I took the CPU Fan off. I also rechecked the way the fans pointed and one of the fans in the bottom right was pointing the wrong way. Weird because there side by side... Dunno maybe I was tired or something. Fixed that. Moved the fan that I have just floating around in there to right above my HDD and it points directly at the CPU and here are my new temps right after boot.

I hope that those temps keep up, they look much better than before. Im going to boot up some games and play around for an hour and repost with the temps. Im going to play Burnout Paradise, maybe some oblivion, and possibly Sims 3.

OH and I also wanted to thank everyone for the help :] Its nice to be able to nerd out for a while. None of my friends are into computer stuff the slightest and the only thing my girlfriend can do involving technology is text heh.

After an hour of Black and White 2 BOTG
