what to get

Hi, im not sure if i should be posting in this section, or even another forum-sorry in advanced; but here is my question anyways...

Next year I will be going to college and majoring in computer engineering and possibly minor in computer science. The thing is i have no clue what laptop to get. I really like mac, but was thinking that maybe most engineers use pc. I know that mac can do both os but maybe its better to just get a pc. Any body out there with prior experience or anybody know what i should get or think about when making my decision?

I'd better stick to windows if I were you. It is purely due to the software you are going to use in college...
 
Last time I was on campus everyone including the school had macs. I guess do some research on what the school is running for a system before you make your final choice.
 
To me, get a Windows-based pc so you won't get problem with software compatibility issues especially when creating programs in your future projects as computer engineering student.
