Anyone with Knowledge please Help!
I currently have a Hewlett and Pac a6257 c desktop from 2008
It plays most games on low to medium settings and even lags sometimes. I want to be able to run starcraft 2 on high to ultra settings sometime soon but can only buy a few parts per month due to lack of income.
My computers current hardware and stats are this:

Note* Everything but the RAM, Video Card and Power Supply are Stock

Rating: 3.7
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E4500 @ 2.20 GHz
(New)6.00 Gigs DDR3 of RAM
750 Gig Hard drive
32 Bit Windows Vista Operating System
(New) Dynex 520 Watt ATX Power Supply
(Fairly New but Bad) PNY GeForce 210 Graphics Card 512mb DDR2
My Mother Board is Stock and Im not sure what it is.

What should I buy first second third etc. and what products/brand should i get to achieve my goal of playing SC2 on high to ultra with no lag/studder?

1. PSU
2. GPU
3. 64 bit OS (you cant use all of your ram on 32 bit)
4. motherboard and CPU, or at least CPU. that is a really underpowered unit.

well would it be worth getting a new GPU or OS if i dont have a better CPU and motherboard? I dont want to get anything without seeing a change with each install you know?

OS you will not see a change either way. But you will only be able to use 3.2GB of RAM in 32 bit.

The CPU is underpowered, but will be able to use a stronger GPU if you are not happy with the 210 you have. I would say up to about GT520 or maybe a GTS450.

you definitely need a quality PSU before you get anything else.

anything from Antec, Corsair, Seasonic, Silverstone, PC power and cooling, XFX or NZXT. Just choose one in your price range with enough power. I would suggest 500-650 watts if you plan to use it on any future builds.

your dynex may be but mine is working great, lol,im not doing any gaming and im using a lowend video card, but yeah anything cheap is usually unreliable and you should get a better one since you will be upgrading your system,Wolfeking listed some good brands you should consider.

so dynex is unreliable?
unreliable is a bad word to use. Low Quality is more correct. It will work to power a gt210, stock CPU, a HDD or 2, a fan or 2 and a DVD drive, but I will guarantee that if you add much more to it you will blow it or be running out of energy. They advertise as 500 watts, but you are actually only able to pull ~250 or so from them. XFX and the others I listed you will get within 25-50 watts of what they say they are. This is because of the quality of the parts put in them.

is "GIGABYTE" motherboards a good brand to buy for my build? i want a GeForce 560 but im not sure what brand to get for that either....PNY, ASUS etc. also should i get an i5 or i7 processor?

If you plan to game, then the 2500k can not be beat.

GPU wise, there are a few good brands. Gigabyte, Asus, MSI, EVGA, and XFX are all good from what I hear.

For Motherboards, look at gigabyte, MSI, EVGA, ASrock or Asus. Also if you are getting a i5 or i7, then look at a P67 or Z68.
