I bought the HP m8400f computer and modded as much as i can. now i wannt get a newer and better mb thats has more PCIe 2.0 slots than 1.1.

anyideas. the board hast to be MATX since my puter is compact and dotn wanna upgrade case. im saying $150 max on the board

im lookin at boards and got a simple question.

im running pc2 6400 800mhz. if the board says memory standard ddr2 1066 the 800mhz will still run in that correct. the 1066 is the slots max

Having $150, you would better get a ATI 4850 video card instead of Motherboard.

I think the best Mobo for AMD CPU is those 790FX chipset.

If your getting a new board, why would you not want it to have PCIe 2.0?

The 4850 sounds good, dont think his power supply would support it. So he would have to upgrade his P/S

As far as the MSI board, he said needed a M-ATX board.

What I mean is why do he want to change to new Mobo.
The performance would not change that much if he only changing the Mobo.
AMD CPU is not good for overclocking, no reason of change Mobo due to locked BIOS, etc.

Didn't realize he need m-ATX Mobo...
Go for 780G chipset then...
