what vid card should he get

My friend is buying a video card, he wants to spend about 300, and I haven't been reviewing the latest video cards. Would this be okay http://www.allstarshop.com/shop/simprod.asp?pid=10664&ad=pwatch or should I get a different ati or just a nvida??? please give me specific cards.

I'm having the same discussion with myself in trying to choose an AGP board. The one you have selected is probably the best one available and on an equal par with the better nvidea 6800 series.

Asus v9999 ( the fast version, because somehow there are 2 versions of the v9999 ) its a really goot 6800GT, and can easely be overclocked to ULTRA level, with the stock cooling.

If your friend only has AGP, then this card wont fit, seeing as its pci-express
