I recently built a computer (help from you guys) and have kept my old one running for my wife.
All she does on it is surf the net and play on the HDD with digital pics.
I play EverQuest 2.
I currently just set something up by guessing my way through a wizard using my old router. The way it is both computers can use the printer and only access the other puter thru a shared folder, which is fine.
My problem is that when we are both using the internet (surfing/gaming) there is often terrible lag.
Is this a problem with the windows network wizard?
Is my router to slow? (will have to find specs for you)
Should I get a new router? If so go wireless or stick with the wired way?
Also as a side note in a few months I will be hooking my PS3 (basement) up to the internet as well (would wireless be best then? Or not go thru floor and insulation(insulated theater room)).
Thanks in advance
