WHat would be good cooling for 2 7800GTX's?

well... i think the title say's enough..
I have 2 7800GTX's in my pc atm, but the Fans are starting to annoy me a bit, because when its quiet in my room, they seem to produce a terrible ammount of noise. I was thinking of putting other cooling on it,. the motherboard i just ordered has a passive heatpipe cooler,.. and i have a Zalman 9500 series cooler on my CPU atm.
does anyone of you have a suggestion about how to cool them (i was intending on overclocking them,.. if the temps would allow it).

I dont know much about water cooling yet.. but if i would cool them with water, i think i would put the CPU on that water-circuit too.

Like said... im open for any suggestions atm :)

Have you looked here? I'm at work so I can't look at this site too well for you but you might find something. This is where I found the aftermarket cooler for my B.F.G. 6800 256. The pics are blocked on the computers at work on some sites to save bandwidth. http://www.coolerguys.com/
 
well... the top link are water blocks.. but i would need more than just those to cool them... and basicly.. i have no idea what i need for a water cooling set.

you could use a heat pipping system and if your fans are smart fans they would slow down a lot since, if set up properly, a heat pipe system would pipe a lot of heat out of your computer

It is by no means the best solution by itself, but when used with some quiet smart fans it all adds up to quiet cooling. You could heat pipe your processor and your SLI rig.
 
I know you have an Nvidia card, but ATI tool has a setting that allows you to control the gpu fans speeds which you can set it to come on say at 75% at a certain temperatures. Basically, you can make it so under normal operation, the fan speeds stay low so they aren't obnoxious, but when you play games or something, the fan speeds pick up. If you are playing games, you are less likely to hear the fans anyways.
 
they should sell the bfg 7900gtx heat pipe heat sink for after market cooling, they rock. infact with the temps i get wouldn't even bother with liquid cooling.
 
My friend has some 2 nVidia cards (im not sure which ones, but they are good) He has watercooling on them and on his cpu. I would say that if your willing to spend a little bit more money for watercooling, go with watercooling. It not only looks nice :P but it is efficient way to cool. ;) His temperatures are very good and when his room is quiet you barely hear anything.

But just a suggestion
