What would be too high of a temp for my CPU

Ya temp 1 is your cpu, 32c is a very good temp for your cpu.:P

i did have it at 26c earlier today do you think i should overclock my cpu i have stock cooling. . what is temp 2 cause that one is staying at 55c all the time. and do you guys have any other programs to monitor temps to make sure speed fan is accurate.

temp1 is the cpu temp. I know this because when i start up bf2 thats the one that jumps to a gay 53C not temp2.

my temps never go beyond 40c playing battlefield 2 maxed or any other game at least of what i have seen. and is 51c a good idel temp and anywhere bewtween 52-62 for a load temp is that to high or good for my videocard.

I use Everest for my temps - it seems very accurate.

i have everest it is a trial version cause they dont have a free version anymore are this temps fine and what does the CPU and CPU diode mean?

Your gpu temps are fine, they have a much higher threshold the cpu's. In fact my threshhold temp is locked in at 117c for my gpu, and I don't know how to lower it. But seriously until you start hitting like high 70's for your gpu, you don't need to worry at all.

Ok thanks and in that picture i posted and the everest what does the CPU and CPU diode mean cause they are two completely different temperatures.

Not really sure what the diode temp is, and that pic isn't loading for me right now, but I'll see what I can dig up on google.

Ok the cpu diode temp is more the temp of the inside of the cpu, while most give you the surface temp. So your diode temp is fine and so are your other temps.

would it be safe for me to overclock and how far could i go before temps start rising.

It depends on the actual chip you have, every chip is different, you just have to overclock in small increments, rune prime 95 to check stability and watch your temps. And if you really want upgrade your cpu cool to an aftermarked like zalman or artcic cooler.

um, if i ve been running my computer at cpu temp 50 idle, and highest 72C,
how bad is it, what can i do to save that..

i am using as5, and a new cpu fan+heat sink from zalman
most of the time, my mobo temp is reasonably low, about 20~25

cpu's are a different story your temps are pretty high, I would make sure to reseat your heatsink because a zalman should be working better then that. Check the airflow in your case just to make sure that you have enough air flowing over your cpu heatsink. If anything you may have to tone down you oc a little, thats a pretty major oc 25% especially since it is a dual core so you have twice the heat build up. But then again my Core 1 Duo in my macbook will hit 80c under a load, since mac doesn't know jack when it comes to cooling.

Ok i was running Prime 95 and everest says my CPU is at 48c do i need to worry about the CPU diode what is the difference between the first one and second one and how hot can it go for the cpu diode. and i think Temp 3 is my CPU temperature cause it is the as what is everest is showing am i right or wrong.

here is the image

Well how much of a load is on your cpu, and are you running prime 95 to check an oc and its stability? If its oc'ed under 100% low its an ok temp.

BTW host your image hereYou can't read anything on your screenshot.

I havent OCed it at all yet i am trying image shack but i cant get it to work.

EDIT: heres the image

Here we go finally got the Damn thing to work

Ya it sure looks like temp 3 is your cpu temp, but that is high for stock speeds with not much of a load. Have you tried reseating the heatsink or getting a thermal probe to take the temperature? And don't worry about the cpu diode temp, its gonna be higher then the rest.

Hmm, temp 1 must be your mobo... strange.

What do you mean not much of a load i have Prime 95 running so i think that would be CPU intensive. Right now i am just on computer forum and its sitting at 24-26c idle i think thats good.
