What would be too high of a temp for my CPU

Ya most likely it is cpu intensive, so you temp 3 is at 24-26, is everest giving the same temp? There shouldn't be that big of a difference between idle and under a full load.

Ya everest and SpeedFan are showing exactly the same temps. I am running Prime 95 right now and it is showing the temps as between 40-42c now when i play a game such as counterstrike or fear i dont see the temps go above 40c but thats what i have seen maybe it does but i think those temps are a little high. Now its at 45c.

Wow your temps jump around a lot. Well if it always stays under like 45 your fine. BTW you don't need to run prime 95, its meant to check the stability of an overclock and since your not overclocking your speeds are stable. Its fine for now don't worry about it until you hit like 50c.

So its safe for me to overclock until i hit about 50c. And do i have to let the Arctic Silver 5 Settle for 200 hours before i overclock or will something be damaged.

Its fine your temps will just be a little higher, adn make sure to shut it down at night. One you get around 50c under a full load then its time to tone down the oc or go aftermarket cooling.

Yup i always shut down my computer at night and i am planning to either get better air cooling or going liquid cooling for my CPU if i need it at all.

Thank You for the help ill be planning on oc'ing tonight when i get home from work cause i have to go in in 25 min but ill tell you how it went and how far i got. I am also going to overclock my videocard any good programs for that?
