I have about $120 to spend give or take...

Option 1

Buy a new power supply for when i have the money for a 8800gts

Option 2

save a little more and Buy a 19" widescreen, then get a power supply and graphics card..

Btw: i have a 17" Crt now :P
 
PSU it makes no since to have an 8800 and u cant run it. so just get the PSU at the moment there is no reason to have a monitor either if you dont have a good GPU
 
Yeah i think im going to get the PSU, i mean i will get the 8800 after i get the psu...lol. Just wondering if i should get the psu or monitor first. Thanks. :)
I never been good at making my mind up :P

any other suggestions?
 
new monitor would mostly be for aesthetics, while video card is for real time performance boost, i'd get the psu
 
Depends on what you think. Either performance or eyesight. CRTs make more radiation and hurt your eyes much more. Get an cheap LCD on ebay or something.

Yeah thats what i got in mind, i mean a CRT is flat but still not easy on the eyes :P. I might go ahead and get a psu, then save up for a lcd...
 
Modern CRT's emit almost zero radiation. You could turn the brightness down if its hurting your eyes. For the PSU I recommend the Corsair 520w unit from buy.com

Yeah, its going to be either that one or the "ocz gamextream" off newegg
