what you think of this spec and price ?

i have just been on Dell website and got this spec for a new pc, can you guys tell me what you think of the spec and price and also opinions on Dell too :

price quoted £691-61 incl shipping


intel viiv core 2 duo e6300 (1.86ghz)
19" flat monitor
250gb hard disk
windows xp media centre edition
free windows vista upgrade
2 year warranty
1024mb ddr 2 memory
16x dvd +/- rw drive
256mb nvidia geforce 7300
integrated 7.1 dolby

what you guys think ? good system or not ?
 
It would be a great system for surfing the internet, and burning a few CDs/DVDs here and there, but as far as graphics go, the 7300 isn't an amazing card. The computer would probably be able to hold up to some light gaming on low settings, but if you want high quality, look into the 7900GS instead.
 
dont do much gaming bud, mainly used for burning and downloading, and internat use, maybe some light office work too ! be ok for that sort of stuff yes ?

what about Dell ? are they ok ?
 
Dells are okay for non-gaming purposes. That computer will do everything that you want to!

Another option would be to build your own computer. It isn't that hard and may be cheaper than the Dell, but if you just want something that you can unpack and use, building wouldn't be for you.
 
It is great for multitasking and such, but just about any other dual core processor would beat it, from the X2 3800+ to the Core 2 Duo E6300. Also runs really hot.
