hey ppl's i have a Hp Pavilion 542x and i want to upgrade my ram it has 512MB currently and it has 2 Ram slots. My question is will i be able to put 2 1gb ram stick in each slot and my comp would run normal? or i have to modified it some how to work with 2gb ram?

The older model allows a 2gb max with either PC1600 or PC2100 memory used. Those would simply drop right in and max the board out.
