Im trying to burn a .cue file to a DVD-RW. Why the hell is Nero telling me it has to be a CD-R/CD-RW disc? I would have thought that movies would go onto DVD discs.

The .cue file is 1KB.

Yeah, don't worry about the legality. Im too paranoid to go downloading copyrighted files, fearful of being smited by the allmighty RIAA or MPAA.

You actually need the .bin to that. The .cue only holds the data and information, that's why it's so small. You need the .bin that is supposed to come with it.

use alchohol to burn the disc. not real alcohol but the program.

altough... both could work... ;) ( i mean, burning a disk :P )

But,. how large is the bin file? like computerhakk said,.. the cue file is merely the index file of the Bin (I gues its needed because .bin files only contain binairy data)

A rephrasing of the original question might work...

Why cant I burn a .cue file on to a DVD? Does the cue file itself specify what type of disc has to be in the drive?

lol. You can't even begin to make me think that you burned a .bin and .cue from your own DVD. Besides, it's illegal to make backups of your own DVDs, even if you did.

You CAN'T burn a .cue file. It just holds the data of the .bin file. You will have to have the .cue and .bin in the same folder, then the .cue should point to the .bin file. Other than that, what size is the .bin? If it's less a CD size image, it should go on a CD, but if it's a DVD size image, it should go on a dvd. So, what is the size of the .bin?
