Whats A Good CpU Fan??

For 40 bucks you can get better than that. Check out the XP-90 and XP-120 for a bit more money by Thermalright. They cool quite well. The XP-120 keeps my OCed Venice 3000 to 38C.

those look pretty cool, but they dont have a fan??

A 90 or 120mm fan costs abotu $10 for a quiet one. Those heatsinks by Thermalright don't need one, but it's always nice to have.

lol thanks all...i have 1 120mm fan a blue aspire one and its going as exaust on my case..

i might get the one stranglehold said...because its much better than the one I planned on and its quieter and smaller..

please post more if you have a better one than this..

They are top notch heatsinks, you really dont need a fan unless you have serious overheating porblems or are looking for extremely low temps. Most overclockers will be fine with a passive XP-90/120.

Why hasn't anybody recommended the Thermaltake Golden Orb 2? A review site said it cooled as well as the Zalman 7000Cu for 1/2 the price.

one of the best Socket 939 coolers you can get is the Arctic Cooling: Freezer 64
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835185114
( they only have the freezer 4 and 7 on newegg :( )
My brother is running a 3000+ @ 2,7GHz with this cooler, and never had it over 60*C.
also, Arctic Cooling gives a 5 Year Warranty on the bearings. so, if your case doesnt fall, or anything like that, the cooler is guaranteed to hold 5 years.
( they calculated this with hours the pc is on, so you can probably make that 8 or 9 years ;) )

also, he specs of the freezer 64 say, it can take a AMD 64 5000+ ;)
