My old GeForce MX 440 Agp 8x is a bit out dated... well very outdated and i find that my card can't handle most new games. Does anyone know any good cards that can run games such as battlefield 2 and Elder scrolls : Oblivion? I'm looking for a high performance card that is around £100 (i don't mind paying a little more) with minium of 2.0 pixel shader that is 128mb - 256 mb and as i said before is a AGP 8x, preferably NiVidia. it would be great if it could handle all new games aswell so i don't need to update for awhile. I'm a newbie so i have no idea which cards are good and which are pretty bad. Any help appreciated.

"Cons: would not play video of any sort. newegg as always refunded my money. replaced this card with a Hightech ATI Radeon 9550 se 256 meg. runs rock solid. excellent DVD video playback on Acer LCD monitor. ... More »" was the comment seen on an MSI NVidia chip model AGP 4x/8x selling for a good price in US dollars. Other higher end AGP cards will go over your budget. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814127131

The Socket A board just replaced an ATI Radeon 9550 256mb video card used for Half LIfe 2, Episode One, Metal of Honor, Soldier of Fortune I+II along with video capturing and editing, multimedia, etc. and never saw issues. MSI puts out some excellent cards with both of the two leading chipset makers ATI and NVidia being used. Both NVidia and ATI saw some good models. Most of the complaints are heard from those that don't know how to get the drivers in or are running too much other stuff.

idont know about that

I would from running both on one system. In fact the ATI was the first ATI card used due to first replacing an Asus FX5200 with an MSI 128mb model. First thought there was that one card was being the better due to video problems being resolved. When they reappeared again the ATI was then tried as a replacement to that. Eventually memtest reported errors on the installed memory which was soon to replaced as a sound card that quit. When the system started up with more serious problem showing memory at fault the board was replaced to find none. I suspect that all three cards were adequate for the now removed older model board there. All three were AGP.
(gee that kind of had a ring to it. :P )
