Whats a good surge protector or ups?

Back to Tickers question any surge protection device designed to accommodate 8 outlets should do the job bearing in mind it only protects you from power spikes


Surge protectors are not suitable lightning protection devices. These devices provide some degree of protection from voltage spikes from everyday power surges and long distant lightning strikes.

If you have a direct lightning strike/nearby most likely any lightening protection you have will not guarantee 100% protection.
