whats an SBr Temp?

in my sensors i have
system temps, cpu temps and SBr temps. is system temp my motherboard? and whats an SBr temp?
 
I wanna say SBr is the south bridge temp, but I have no idea what the "r" stands for. I am almost positive it's the south bridge, at leasts that's the only thing I can think of.

you are right it is south bridge, but just try to think for a moment, for just one moment:

South Bridge

lol yea +1 on that, SB would have been more sensible, and would have saved on a byte of HDD space.

southbridge is a chip just like any other. You can try frying it and see where it gets you, that will give you your answer why you need to know about the temps.

System temps i'd imagine is either the nothbridge, as you say, or just a sensor somewhere on your motherboard
