Hey guys, I, along with most of us want to play every game on the full gfx settings right? Well this is no easy task with The Elder Scrolls Oblivion. I'm unsure as to what 'the weakest link' in my system is, what is preventing my system in running this game better.
It's the outdoor environments that kill the game on my pc, when i move the mouse and look around and pan past a detailed section, u can notice some slowdown. Here's my sys...
Intel P4 2.8E (running it at like 3,3.2 and eve n 3.4 didnt seem to help)
Abit IC-7 G
1Gb Corsair Value Select + 512Mb Corsair Twinx (i think, maybe its value 2)
Onboard Realtek Sound (Dammit)
256Mb Powercolour X800XT PE
300Gb Seagate 7200rpm SATA HDD
Logitech MX1000 Laser Mouse
Logitech G-15 Keyboard.
Creative Inspire 5200 speakers
Antec 1080/AMG case
Antec truepower 430W PSU
Zalman CNPS-7000A-cu CPU FAN

wow those specs are pretty good and you still can't play it..hmmm..? i don't know what to tell ya...maybe it is your vid card? i mean your RAM and CPU are good

Well that srtest.com thing said I surpass the recommended specs, and btw i can run the game perfectly on medium-ish settings, I just reckon my pc should be able 2 play it on full, and im not sure wats holding it back, i guess my mobo and cpu are a bit old...:o

Well, your system is reasonably well balanced, but Oblivion's requirements are very high. Your video card in particular will be unable to play it well at high resolution, even if you were to upgrade your mobo and CPU.
