whats better - AMD

right now im looking for a new processor for gaming, and im wondering whats better than the AMD X2 6400 s.AM2 ? is there another CPU thats AMD better than the 6400 or one coming out later/soon ?
 
I think the new quads are going to be released november to early 08.. from what i understand, they will be AM2+, but will work on AM2. I think some memory feature just wont be available
 
I will stick with intel even if ThatGuy dont like them, AMD will have to produce a miracle CPU before I mess with them!!
 
The 6400 is basicly factory overclocked with a x16 multi :P (the 5200/5600/6000/6400 are the same core with one higher multi).

unless you give some ungodly voltage its not going to lessen the cpu's life.... by then dual cores will be ancient :D
 
amd just cut their price again, so get a 6400+ at a descent price at newegg now. or get 6000+ and overclock it to 3.5GHZ or more if your mobo allows. Highest overclocking with 6400+ is 4.22ghz with watercooling (chilled water).
