What's Better??
AMD 64 3400 core:clawhammer and a $200 video card orrrr...
AMD 64 3700 core:clawhammer and a $100 video card??
This comp is gonna be used for gaming

I would go with the better video card, assuming it has more memory than the $100 card. With your first option your video card is 100% better than in the 2nd option, but reversed, the processor is not *that* much different.
3400 with $200 vid card would be the way to go.

For gaming definitely go with the better gfx. CPU doesn't matter too much for gaming (unless you are like at 200MHz ) Also get good RAM

i was wondering though if i get 1 gb of ram.. (instead of 512, which i was gonna get before) i'll have to spend less on the video card about 150.. is that still ok?

Id gladly take a 128MB 6800 over a 256MB 9600 .... the memory count doesnt matter all that much
