What's so great about Newegg?

Prices and Service. Most the items sold there are cheaper than other places and 90% of the stuff I buy from them is free shipping. The service is beyond great and the phone service has actual English speaking :P

Then you have the engineering aspect. Volkswagen makes a CPU chip for their cars that adds 80 Horse Power. From just a chip. So, when you design a motherboard, what chipset do you use, how long are the pipes between everything, what material is it made of, can it handle more heat, do the pipes allow for more bandwidth?

I was thinking more along the lines of, performance parts for say, a 2002 Chevy Camaro SS (just an example that I pulled off the top of my head). Sure, you can get longtube headers from tons of companies, but they aren't always the same because of manufacturing process and development. You can get cheapo headers on eBay for like $300, but they will leak, they aren't stainless steel, will need welding, etc. If you get some good SLP longtubes, you won't have many issues, if any. Sure, the performance might be similar, but with the added issues and the constant need to work on them, the higher cost of brand-name is minor.
