the layer of silicon on top of the nano wires is smaller, therefore making it run cooler. this is why its a higher quality, faster chip. not to mention, they come with the upward multiplier unlocked. this is a very prominent advantage for the enthusiast overclocker... personally, i overclock to save money, and buying an FX chip won't save me any money. generally the big deal is that it was the best chip that AMD could possibly make at the time... like FX-55 was the best chip a year or so ago. FX-57 is the fastest single core, and FX-62 is the fastest dual core. im not sure if theyre making faster single cores or not though.
