Whats the Best 2x1 gig sticks i can get for my Set up in my Sig? Theres 2 slots left, there 667. Im not looking to spend a but load, but whats the differences in them, and what would be my best bet?:)

The best is what you are already running preferrably from the same manufacturer's batch. Whenever adding memory you want to match as close as possible if not the same as the memory already in use. You would simply order another pair of the same Corsair memory to insure seeing the best results from the same type and brand there.

But how come ram slots are sometimes two colored? I figured maybe it could run in two different channels or i dont know the correct term. Also with my current set up would i notice a difference between 2 and 4 gigs of ram? Would my games load faster? I just formated to Windows XP 64 bit. Also will cooling be an issue? Im not OC'd or anything but its a small case.

Having 2 colours should mean your board supports dual channel. Read the manual for which slots to install the RAM in to get dual channel. It's usually 1/3 and 2/4 but not always.

The new Asus board here allows for 1+3 or 2+4 fpr a two dimm setup. Many 939 boards will specify having a pair of dimms in the blue or sometimes green colored slots while the black colored are the secondary for each channel. Cromewell's advice on referring to the manual included with the board is always the first thing done here and is the thing to do there as well.

I have Black, yellow, black, yellow. So my question was can i get something better then 667 or should i match the 667 or can i bump it up ? Whats the fastest ram that will fit into those extra slots.

According to the downloadable user manual seen at http://dlsvr03.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/socket775/P5L-VM%201394/e2758_p5l-vm_1394.pdf DDR2 667 memory is the fastest supported meaning any faster memory that will run on that model would backclock itself to 667mhz.

The yellow slots are the first slot on each channel there. Look over the manual for installing memory there. That will explain how to enable the dual channel and whether the second on each channel will also run in dual channel. The Asus board recently ordered here runs with either pair of slots used or a single in any slot. That's seen on the M2N-E AM2 model.
