whats the better brand?

im after a good quality 22" monitor for under $500(au) and was wondering what the best i can get for this price is

i have looked around and the nicest one i could find is this one with the built in ipod dock which will be handy

what do u think? is viewsonic a good quality brand? and the other one i was looking at is this BenQ monitor

on the whole, IMO, viewsonic are the better brand by quite a bit.

Things you should be looking at when buying a TFT

Widescreen or not
Contrast Ratio
Brightness Rating
Resolution (native)
Connectivity (DVI, VGA, S-Video)
Speakers built in (usually real crap ones)
And obviously, viewing area, a 22" screen will sometimes only have, say, 20.5" viewable (worst case scenario, most are fine)

i would say the viewsonic one doesnt have good spec actually, very low contrast, i would reccomend the Samsung 226BW, fantastic monitor

LG is a fairly good brand, or at least it is in the UK, maybe they have a bad reputation in AUS
