What's the diff???

i got an easy enough question, i was wondering...say i got a dell desktop pc with an athlon, 1 gig mem stick blah blah...and my friend got an HP with THE SAME EXACT PARTS...the only difference being that its different companies....are the computers still equally as good or is one better cuz the companie is better???

One could be better than the other depending on the name brands of the parts that are in it. Like dell could have better name brand ram and HP could have a better motherboard, but vertually there should be no real signicant diffence if they have the EXACT same parts reguardless of the namebrands of the parts they use.

Well since Dell makes their own BIOSes they cant really be the same Furthermore, are we assuming the user reformatted or not?
