whats the difference between dvd r 16x and 8x ?

i burned some videos to dvd r 8x and they are a tiny bit slower, some tiny tiny jumps

will burning them to dvd r 16x make a difference ?

As long as you have a DVD Burner and media that is capable of 16x, then yes, it will probably burn almost twice as fast.

and how do i know that i can burn to 16x dvd ??

i dont have a dvd burner, i just use cdburnerxp pro program and put the dvd in my computer

will this work for 16 x dvd ?

Im not sure what you mean, if anything the image will be worse, since the faster you burn the higher the chance of their being a mistake when writing to the disc, but thats unlikely.

If you have Nero, go to the "extras" and click on "test drive", it will tell you your drive specs.
