What's the difference between these 2 Microsoft Office Professionals?

What's the difference between these 2:

the first one is the full pro version, and the second one is the academic version. The pro version has a few more small programs, but they both include the basic office apps (word, excel, powerpoint, ect).

Would that CD be all I really needed for Microsoft Office Professional? Do I need to spend the $500 on a the full sealed box of Microsoft? I mean, I really don't want to, I just want the programs and the key registration.

Thats the same exact software as the retail version is, the only difference is that your only getting the CD. Your not getting the box or documentation. So to answer your question, if you get this then it will work, you dont need the retail version.
