The 9800GT is basically an 8800GT. Same specifications. The 9800GTX+ is the newer version of the 9800GTX. It has better cooling and has faster clock speeds, and as far as I know, also has the same architecture. The 9800GTX+ runs about as well as a 4850. The 9800GT runs like a 3870.

Yeah...and depending on your budget, the only REAL (and relatively insignificant) difference I see in the three is the core clocks and memory interface. I'd go with the middle one (seeing how a GTx 2xx is not in my budget right now, LOL! )

You can only compare core clocks among GPU's with similar architecture though. I may be wrong, but I thought the GTX+ had a different architecture than the 9800GT. I would go for the GTX+. I think it actually replaced the GTX because I only see GTX+'s on NewEgg.

Yes, you are correct. After doing a comparison of the three on newegg, I found the differences between the GTX & GTX+, minimal (I threw the GT out altogether). I apologize for my poor typing if it's difficult to understand (I sucked in english ). Bottom line, I just built rigs for my Wife and I and am now holding out for the GTX 280/290's ("GTx 2xx" my bad grammar!)
