What's the difference?

There is the i5 quad core, and then regular intel quad cores. What's the difference? Im positive the i5 is faster in many ways, but then why is only $150 at my local Micro Center and all the regular quad cores easily surpass $200.

Any idea or is it just a great deal for the i5

The quad cores are more because its old technology, thats what happens when new technology comes out. Just like with memory now, ddr2 is going up in price while ddr3 is coming down.

It would make sense, because People are going to still want the product and Intel for example aren't making as much anymore. Supply and demand.

Thank you
