Whats the difference?

So I hear people talking about how amazing the i5 2500 sandy bridge is compared to a regular 15 2500K. I guess what im wondering is what makes it better? and when would you really want to consider going to that upgrade?

The k series allows you to overclock with the multiplier, which is about the only way to do it on the sandy bridges. I would say it is certainly worth the upgrade as with a decent board they clear 4.5Ghz for a joke. However, if you aren't doing anything really demanding with the computer, then any new i5 will pretty much be significantly faster than you'll ever need.
