I have been looking around and it seems like there are all sorts of hard drives with different model numbers and im not really sure what the difference is. Such as

this: Barracuda 7200.12 SATA 3Gb/s 500GB Hard Drive ST3500410AS

and this: Seagate® Barracuda® 3.5" Internal Kit ST3500641AS-RK

I looked them up on the seagate website and i just couldnt tell the difference. Please help?

Mobo to be used on is ASUS P8P67 Deluxe B3 Intel P67 Motherboard For Intel LGA1155 if that helps any. Thank you very much.

To me it sounds like the first one is just a bare drive whereas the "Kit" comes with a data cable, screws, and a manual.

Model numbers don't matter - that's all they are....model numbers. They're both SATA drives so they'll work.

Thats what I thought and figured when I couldnt really find the difference but I just wanted some more experienced input before I go and spend that much money on something.
